Mobile Insurance

Mobile insurance is insurance on a mobile phone, generally to compensate the owner for loss, theft, and/or accidental damages of the Mobile Phones. It is becoming vital as the devices move into advanced or Smartphone category; which means that the Mobile Phones are becoming much more expensive to replace.

COVERAGE:

1. Fire

2. Riot, strike, Terrorist activity

3. Theft

4. Loss or damage due to Road accidents

EXCLUSIONS:

1. Any loss occasioned by water or occasioned from any water borne craft

2. Loss due to theft or damage due to attempted theft from any unattended vehicle.

3. Loss or damage caused while driving or traveling the insured's own vehicle.

4. Loss or damage due to mechanical, electrical of electronic breakdown.

5. Loss or damage arising out of negligence, carelessness, poor care and maintenance, intentional and willful act.

6. Mysterious disappearance, missing, misplaced or forgotten mobile instrument.

7. Loss or damage while under the custody of a third party.

8. Loss or damage due to operation of war, warlike operations and nuclear perils

9. Loss or damage caused by wear and tear, atmospheric or climatic conditions or gradual deterioration.

10. Loss or damage covered by supplier or dealer or under warranty.

Documents to be produced at the time of claim

In case of Theft: (compulsory)

1. Intimation in writing to the service provider about the loss.

2. Duly completed claim form.

3. F.I.R copy issued by police authorities.

4. Non traceable certificate issued by police authorities

5. Copy of the letter duly acknowledged by the service provider for deactivation of the mobile no.

6. Original Bill.

In case of damage:

1. Intimation in writing to the service provider about the loss.

2. Duly completed claim form.

4. F.I.R in the case of road accident and or any other documentary evidence to establish the cause of loss.

5. Estimate of repairs

6. Original bills and invoices

7. Damaged instrument at the time of total loss.
