MTS MBlaze is EVDO based high-speed wireless internet service from the house of Sistema Shyam Teleservices. Currently MTS offering downlink of maximum 3.1 Mbps and an uplink of 1.8 Mbps, which provides a great speed. This is from my personal experience and the feedback provided from my Friends in and around Tamil Nadu and Chennai.

Installation & System Requirements

MTS MBlaze premium Modem is a plug n play device which would hardly take 2 – 3 mins for installation. The MTS MBlaze requires a basic model PC configuration, since it is a Plug n Play device will work on all platforms and would be at its best if you are using Windows XP with Service Pack 3.

The device can also be used as a MicroSD card Reader with the slot available.

Initial Buying and Activation:

You need to visit to the nearby MTS store, they provide a live demo about the product by visiting your home i.e the place where you going to use the service frequently, if you satisified with the performance of the device you can go for it. The initial price of the device is Rs.1,000 and you to decide accordingly about your choice of connection i.e. Prepaid or Postpaid, by the time of purchasing. This are some prepaid plans.

Services:

The services offered by the MTS is really good. This is an example where I downloaded a Movie on Torrent. This was actually one week before my connection due date when I used about 10 GB in my unlimited download package.

The speed provided is much higher compared to Airtel Broadband wired services. The slowest download speed I have experienced in my place is about 15 to 16 Kbps via torrent downloader.

Customer Support:

It is an automated voice support with no regional language support.

Free Websites:

MTS offers free surfing on YAHOO, Cricinfo, Wikipedia and you surf at these sites even when you have zero balance at your account at a very low speed with some blocked scripts.

Feedback:

It is cheap and best as far as my concern. Not suited for people who travel around the country, I have experienced it when I used it in my Hometown. My Surfing speed has gone down even before my threshold limit of 12 GB.
